This research paper presents an in-depth assessment of the problems faced by Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, and the broader implications for the country resulting from rapid population growth. As urbanization accelerates, Karachi has experienced an unprecedented influx of people seeking better opportunities and living standards. The paper examines the multifaceted challenges arising from this population surge, including strained infrastructure, housing shortages, environmental degradation, traffic congestion, and increasing demands on public services. By shedding light on these critical issues, the study aims to provide valuable insights for policymakers, urban planners, and stakeholders to address the consequences of rapid population growth and work towards sustainable development in Karachi and Pakistan.
