This article analyzes the processes of improving the meliorative condition of irrigated lands and rational use of water resources in the Khorezm Oasis. The study examines the salinization of irrigated lands, groundwater levels, the condition of collector-drainage and irrigation infrastructure, as well as the processes of their maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. Particular attention is paid to measures aimed at regulating the water-salt regime of soils and reducing groundwater levels. The experience of reusing collector-drainage water under conditions of water scarcity and its impact on agricultural crop productivity is also considered. Based on data on melioration activities implemented in the Khorezm Region, the study analyzes improvements in the condition of irrigated lands, reductions in areas affected by severe salinity, and increases in crop yields.
